Luckenbach, Amarillo by morning is more about the lonely world of rodeo than it is Texas.

I'm wondering if you guys agree. Are Luckenbach Texas and Amarillo by Morning the two greatest Texas songs?

I asked this on Coffee and Football this morning, but below is a graphic I made for today’s show that lists the top ten receivers to play for Texas (stats wise). Do yall think there is someone on the team currently who could break the Top 10? Is it even possible now with the portal? Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

He’s just not a natural. The MSU drop he leaves his feet for no reason. Think it was SJSU in which he had his hands set as though it was a low ball when it wasn’t. There were several low balls that he could and probably should have left his feet but didn’t. I recall a deep ball to Georgia that he didn’t get his hands on but when you watch it you wonder why. It could be his eyes adjusting, but it seems more than that. The pace of some of his routes making himself available occasionally seems off. I use the comparison of the UTEP game versus the OU for an example that encompasses all this. 4th and 4 versus UTEP, opening drive. Arch flushes to his left. Rather than sitting in the open window proceeds to run away from him. Incomplete. Similar occurrence versus OU. Wingo sits. Complete, first down.

Kiffin got 3 really good QBs on the portal so while it wouldn't have been ideal, he would've just moved on to former 5 star Husan Longstreet.

I didn't even realize he transferred from Euless Trinity to North Crowley lol. Their DB room at North Crowley is absolutely loaded for the 2026 season.

Seeing lots of "Tech didn't know" takes today. I don't know how to reconcile that with the past year of fawning coverage of Tech's supposed advanced portal scouting and analytics. "Tech didn't know" looks even worse for the Portal King.
