  1. Past hour
  2. Saw these Richard Wesley videos going up against top tackles.
  3. Today
  4. Hahah this is awesome work
  5. Honestly, never heard of them before Beau was offered by Texas. But I could say the same thing about Christian Clark and OT Aaron Thomas, who both went to the local high school a mile away from me ... never heard of them until Texas was mentioned. Heck I didn't even know who Brock Purdy was until after he played against us at Iowa State (he was from Gilbert, about 20 miles of urban sprawl from me). Arizona produces the occasional excellent player (Bijan, Kelee Ringo, Mark Andrews come to mind ... QBs Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler are in the NFL now, Dylan Raiola played a year at one of the Chandler schools) but the 2026 class has zero four stars (247) or three four stars (247 Composite) this year and other than the three guys I remember Texas offering (CB Hamiel, Thomas and Jandreau) I don't recognize anyone else.
  6. I trust Schloss. At a minimum he increases competition and gives us options.
  7. 0 days since Blake has been muted
  8. Jay's cousin played TE for SMU and Utah and is now an OT in the NFL. I took him on a recruiting visit to Lousiana Tech when he was still in high school. His other cousin was a RB at SDSU. He also had a cousin who played college basketball, iirc. I believe Jay's dad played in the NFL as well. Very talented family and some big ol' boys.
  9. I think we can sustain on off year in recruiting a RB but this can’t be a trend. We haven’t proven that we can get the level of RB we need in the portal. Generally, we have been able to get contributors to NFL level skill players at other positions.
  10. We've never brought in a top RB from the portal like we have at receiver. So I don't think you can draw much conclusions from that.
  11. Jay Humphrey deserves a nod. Yarbrough was a long-time judge in Galveston before becoming mayor of Galveston. I think Jonah Williams’ father may have taken over that bench from Yarbrough. Small world.
  12. I like using the portal for savvy and experienced receivers. The running back portal additions haven't been that productive for us. They were good on special teams. You would think that each year we could snag two potentially great running backs.
  13. Today’s pictures took some digging. Big time.
  14. As we draw closer to kickoff against Ohio State, we are counting down looking at players who wore that particular day’s number. Today is 67, so who is your favorite? Some choices include…. Julius Whittier Jim Yarbrough Will Wilcox Tope Imade
  15. Haha Looks like breakfast to me!
  16. That's what Ohio State said in the CFP
  17. I'm back this morning to make fun of @Joe Zura
  18. Join us for Coffee and Football as we discuss everything Longhorn related and take your questions. Show starts around 8:15 AM.
  19. Give me all the DL freaking love if. I have no idea how the RB and TE class shakes out. But we have depth and the portal is an option. Love the focus on OL DL and QB. I’d like to grab the Palestine QB for next year. Good article Jeff!
  20. The recipe for landing 5* recruits at Texas! (AI's a hell of a thing).
  21. Duh, that's on me ... I usually catch a joke but must have been asleep on this one.
  22. I know, you didn’t get the irony of the joke. Apologies, just trying to bring a little joyful humor
