I hope they pick up next year where they left off. This season Freeman was the NCAA leader with 28 doubles. While hitting .422 Robbins had 5 triples and 20 stolen bases and didn’t make an error all season. The HR totals from Livingston, Moroknek and Freeman are impressive. I hope they translate against SEC pitching.

5-star Dia Bell at Elite 11 Finals thread
pinkman_90 replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Of course on3 and Wiltfong had the aggy guy as the MVP on day 2. Then pumped out articles about how that will help them on their quest to a #1 class. Then 247 didn’t even have him ranked and Elite 11 had him 10th. -

Missouri Tabs $31 Million in NIL Spending
BobInHouston replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
No one said anything about what we can call "real NIL." We've already heard that the clearinghouse (which I think is legally questionable) would have denied just about all of the recent NIL deals. So if 10 percent get through, assuming for a second that there was another $20.5M in real NIL for some schools, that's about $2 mil of additional money that would have been "approved." The $20.5 would be a cap as applied to the schools for all intents and purposes. Unless.... ...As I and others have been saying, if Missouri and Tech have gone way beyond the cap number this year, and so many other high D-Is are probably doing so, we are headed back to a world in which bags are dropped just as they always had been. The schools don't want to be above the table. It's too much money and too much work. Dropping bags is cheaper and by and large understood within the community. -

72 Days Until Kickoff: Who’s your favorite No. 72?
Jeff Howe replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Honorable mention to Mason Walters. He’s a standup guy who didn’t mind answering tough questions when things on offense weren’t going right during his time in the program. -
Transfer portal has changed everything. Retention is key these days.

Now compare our class to the # 1 2022 A&M class, the GOAT class - eight 5* recruits, I think 5 of them DL or EDGE. ONE guy stuck it out and was drafted from A&M (Stewart). Their other 2 draft picks were a transfer from Purdue and a 4th year guy. Some of the 2022 guys who transferred out did get drafted (Nolen the most obvious), but we had 3x more guys drafted out of that class than they did. Look at their attrition rate, pretty astounding.

don't think the Pocket Hose was a OTF advertiser.

Looking back at it, a huge amount of attrition overall. Jaydon Blue was really the only skill athlete difference maker. Guilbeau will be a 2 year starter and contributer. It's pretty slim outside of them. Our 23 and 24 classes are really the bulk of the team this year and will ultimately decide our ceiling. The one position group that is the exception is the OL class. Kelvin Banks - 3 year starter and R1 draft pick. Outland and Lombardi winner. Cole Hutson - 2 year starter. At Guard his freshman year and now Center this upcoming year. Frequent contributer. Cam Williams - 1 year starter, draft pick. Never got to see his collegiate ceiling. Neto Umeozulu - Projected starter at guard this year after developing. Has proven he can put a Sooner on his @ss. Malik Agbo - One year contributer in 6 man OL package as a glorified inline TE. Sark running more true 12 personnel in 24 killed that package. Passed by others and transferred out. Connor Robertson - developing. Has only seen meaningful snaps in the 23 RRSO after injury to Majors. Projected backup at Center this year. Can he hold off Daniel Cruz? DJ Campbell - 2 year starter at Guard at multi year contributer. That's an absurd hit rate for OL. Can't really qualify anyone as a bust, as they have all meaningfully contributed at some point or are set to for 2025. 5 starters overall, 3 of which multiple years. 2 draft picks and counting. Big year for Neto and DJ to really show what they've got.

Not sure how many products are actually sold based on the commercial reads by Gerry, Bobby, etc., but their reads are so great. Maybe it's because they genuinely like the products, or because they want to do right by their advertisers. But they're awesome (whether or not I like the product).
-
How will Freeman and Robbins fit in? They both had more walks than Ks. 😀 Hopefully at least one of these new commits can adapt well to SEC pitching. We definitely need to improve the hitting and the power from last year. I am not sure if any of the incoming freshman will step up right away, particularly if Cunningham and Fien go pro.

Worst OTF Commercial…

I understand their purpose. I was just expressing my disdain for all commercials, not just on OTF. I don’t discriminate 😂 -
