  1. Past hour
  2. Agreed. Texas has to figure out the NIL situation for hoops. Michigan is a football first school and adapted to the current landscape of college athletics. But maybe they’re allocating more NIL money to basketball in exchange for some non CFP seasons in football. Who knows.
  3. With Lee and Preston it has to be money. With Crump and Justice it could be playing time. Itute and Crittendon are better than Carlton. And Bjorn is better than Crump. Jazzy Spaight and Holguin have quickness and are better outside shooters than Preston. I wish Lee would stay. We are Texas. We will fill the slots. I am beginning to reconcile the situation. What can we do? Just wish them well.
  4. the way this game was called by the refs made it hard to watch at times and Cadeau on Michigan is a dirty player that should’ve been fouled out. Nevertheless congrats to Michigan they were the best team all season. if a football school like Michigan can do this after only a couple years with a new coach, no reason Texas can’t compete for championships in the coming years and I think we have the coach and AD to do it
  5. Lots of schools are in similar positions.
  6. All these people downplaying losing Lee are out of their minds. Did any of you watch a single game this year?…. That girl is special. Huge huge huge loss.
  7. All of these players entering the portal is why not winning the chip with this roster is so painful. It's not easy building rosters good enough to win it all anymore. If Lee, Preston, and Carlton are leaving, it's pretty clear we're not allocating that much money for the women. Lee is a must keep in my eyes. Why even recruit 5* if they just leave after 1-2 years and another school will get them at their college prime? Note: Texas has a couple days to counter offer and possibly get them to leave the portal. This might be all postering with the agents to get their clients more money.
  8. I think some questions are fair here. Vic has undoubtedly done wonders here. Just seems pretty crazy if we lose Moore, Carlton, Crump, Lee, and Preston from the team. If it is more than just NIL. I suspect it is NIL, playing time/offensive strategy , and maybe some personality issues. But then again gotta wait and see if all that happens, and what moves are made. We might be shooting for the big fish now with $ to spend and catch em. Vic certainly deserves the benefit of doubt, while he reshapes the team for next year. Will know soon enough.🤟
  9. This is a bigger loss. Carlton was becoming a very important piece of our team.
  10. Crump's offense is good but she doesn't have the quickness we need to play the type of defense Vic wants to play. It was ok this year off the bench but if she was a starter, teams would start focusing on attacking her. She made a lot of mistakes on defense this year that cost her playing time. Still would have liked her to stay but we can find better in the portal. Kymora Johnson from Virginia would be nice at PG.
  11. Let them all leave, who cares. Would Shay Holle shot 3 for 23....this is ridiculous that we think we need Preston Lee back if she wants to go to some BMF school. Please Go!!! You will love Kentucky!!
  12. Preston has waited all this time to take over from Rori then leaves when Rori leaves? Ok. Can find better PGs in the portal.
  13. Lee started and played starters minutes and is probably the reason Crump is leaving (besides$)
  14. Michigan has now won their second big three sport natty in the last three athletic seasons and that also means the Big 10 has won the natty in football, men's basketball, and women's basketball this athletic season.
  15. There are schools where basketball is bigger than Texas basketball.
  16. One of the reasons women’s basketball has a unique appeal over men’s recently is the longevity of the star players with less early pro departures, and not as crazy roster turnover. Unfortunately, it seems like that may not be the case for the second part. However tough, have to adapt with the times. The talented group of incoming freshman will have opportunities and we will be a top destination target for portal players looking to win.
  17. Michigan doesn’t even have WBB money like that and has a team to retain. The top WBB NIL schools are Iowa, SC, USC, UConn and Texas with 7 figures. Texas WBB is not Texas MBB.
  18. That can’t be good to lose this much talent.
  19. Lee/Preston expected to portal…
  20. Him and Royal on opposite flanks would be devastating lol. I wish Texas can find a matthew golden regen though.
  21. Yeah if you get paid 600k to go to Michigan, you’re in a pretty premier situation.

  23. The same applies to other schools.
  24. need to see him race a lambo on a visit
  25. Today
  26. I love Justice Carlton's game too. But if someone offers you twice as much money, it's hard to say no. But I think it's a mistake. Being a Longhorn Legend can set you up for life.
