  2. I see those ads as well Bobby, but once I switched to premium YouTube (No commercials or ads) they went away--
  3. A couple of folks have sent me DMs about political ads on our videos and/or podcasts. On Texas Football has and always will be a place DEVOID of politics. Our purpose here is to be an escape for Longhorns fans to go as deep as they want to about the Longhorns and not politics, etc. That being said, YouTube and others sell political ads all the time. They have to do it equally among all political parties; it’s the law to do so. So pls be aware that you may see various political ads just like you do on your TV set during election season. But that is NOT from us or even us taking direct money from any political party. It is YouTube or the programmatic partner. Here’s to keeping politics out of Texas football! Hook’Em!!!
  4. He was on campus. He had a great interview that showed maturity beyond his age. He had so much more to give to life than just football on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.
  5. I had to Google it to check my memory, but he was committed and flipped to Purdue late in the process
  6. Today
  7. i wonder if it was wind-aided…it was blustery yesterday. still a really good time.
  8. So sad when a 25 year old with his whole life in front of him feels like his life is not worth living. RIP
  9. Awful to hear. RIP Rondale.
  10. Cardale Jones with the greatest Ohio St graduation cap ever.
  11. Yes! My daughter is a UT graduate, Class of 2017, native Texan, and I am visiting her in Los Angeles this weekend. She'll be 31 this Spring and the time really flies. Earlier this evening we both agreed our years at UT living in Austin were the best. JC Dobbs BA 1976 MPA 1978, Texas Exes Life Member. Hook 'Em!
  12. I remember (I think) that he considered the Longhorns and I was hopeful that he would commit to play football at Texas. Very sad situation and is a reminder of how difficult things can seem, and especially having just missed out on the NIL era, as you noted. RIP Rondale Moore
  13. Thanks for your post-- very interesting and informative. I'm actually visiting my daughter this weekend and she was interested in the information you provided. Best wishes to you and Hook 'Em!
  14. He was that generation of college player that just missed the boat on NIL. To have missed that, then have had the extremely difficult NFL career he had I’m sure was mentally breaking. Horrible. There are a ton of guys that are in very similar predicaments. Moore’s friends and family and all other guys suffering through similar circumstances need our prayers
  15. Great time for Whisenton. His highlights showed a great back with good size and contact balance. Combine that with track speed and this guy could really be a top rb.
  16. I was looking for them and couldn't find them.
  17. Back to back knee injuries are brutal. Sad he wasn't able to get help.
  18. I love the idea of a soccer stadium where the bubble is now.
  19. 25 yrs old man I'm only 3yrs older than him its sad to see. I remember him going crazy against Ohio st in 2018 12 catches 170yrds 2 TD's rip rondale.
  20. Texas goes 4-2 in the tournament Texas #6 Beat #3 USC 3-2, # 7 LMU, 3-2, #9 Cal , #16 Hawaii Lost #1 UCLA 0-5 # 2 Sanford 2-3
  21. Hate seeing news like this. Self inflicted. Only 25. https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/article/vikings-wr-rondale-moore-dies-at-25-014933769.html
  22. Saw the Vikings post on his passing. He was always a dude that I regret not getting to campus. He broke out his freshman year at Purdue on a national level with highlights.... Talk about tough to do at Purdue. Then he was able to make it to the league and was sticking around and had the tools to break through. Sorry to hear this news and thoughts and prayers to his family.
  23. I used to be on the faculty of a well known university. I was not on the faculty senate, but was occasionally asked to act as a proxy for someone who could not attend. At one of the meetings they reviewed the athletic department's major sports programs and their budgets. I was shocked at how much was spent on tutors alone. I was also shocked to hear that in real life the average GPA for the basketball team was under 2.0 (it takes a 2.0 to graduate) while in the press it was routinely stated how great the basketball team was doing academically, that no one was failing, and that the graduation rate was equal to the student population in general (of course it was for those who stayed more than one year). The athletes, particularly football, get better food, better dorms if they have them for athletes, better health care, etc. None of this is new.
  24. just continuing the swim dominance
