One thing I can’t stand..

I just read an article stating Matt Campbell did not tell his players at Iowa State he was leaving, they found out via social media. I ve been a college football fan for years now and I’ve seen this same type of article numerous times. But how in the hell can you not have the respect for your players to tell them you are leaving. Those kids don’t deserve that, and if the AD doesn’t allow it he’s just as sorry of a human being.

At least he didnt leave recruits at a dinner and ghost them mid meal.

Brian Kelly was better. Took the job with LSU, came back and finished his BBQ dinner at a recruit’s house acting like he was still gonna be the ND coach.

Go listen to the press conference with Iowa States AD Jamie Pollard. If you think Matt Cambell didn’t do things the right way then that will change your mind. I doubt anyone has ever had an AD talk like that about a departing coach. 
 

I have always had a respect for Matt Cambell but after hearing this interview I have an even higher respect for him.
