  1. So in 2 years it’s Boom vs Cookie Monster…
  2. Wasn’t ready for capless kiffin
  3. Just saw this as well. Good night nurse!
  4. I remember my first drink Who knew the 22 class was an ev? Flood has gotten more mileage out of this class than…
  5. For the fall, I’d love to see yall get interviews from the hs state coaching goats for the away games. Who are the Phil Danahers, Scott Surratts, Irwin and/or Shipleys in other states?
  6. It depends I think. She wanted to prove she could stand up. She found out that she doesn’t like getting hit and she doesn’t have a chin. If she stayed with her judo, I think she wouldn’t have lasted longer. She never really shot at Nunes until she was rocked. She beats Holly imo if she took this fight’s approach. I never felt her heart was all in. Nunes is a fighter in her fiber. RR is more of an entertainer that was great at judo. Jake will soil the sport with these type of fights as well as his reputation for fixing them. He just wants money. Any means justify that end but merica pays to see what he does so..
  7. This is super funny. Insulting “royalty” to get their support? Basket weaving vs nut-less. It’s definitely May. I prefer sark not bring up other schools hit I appreciate that he is pretty dang authentic.
  8. It’s a football site. No one is attacking anyone. Well, some were close with Zura for no reason but the larger point remains. Disagreeing with someone’s perspective or opinion happens on a sports site. Of course I’m going to poke at what film study have you done? I’m almost obligated to but my original reply literally had its not personal in it. I think it’s past time to move on from flood but I’m really happy to throw some crow down my gullet. I want him to be successful because then our team is. Just offseason fodder. You as well 🙏🏽
  9. I often wonder if people are ever embarrassed with silly replies like this. I guess you’re innately a first person expert on any opinion you espouse. Ever. There are numerous resources that cover this as experts along with basic common sense, eye test, and football knowledge. I also provided some context of my perspective earlier but I’m not a d1 oline coach so it’s irrelevant. I’m not a chef but if you 💩 on my food, I’ll know not to eat it.
  10. It really isn’t that serious. It’s a bit and not malicious at all. Here so you don’t have to delete your account. ontexasfootball.com/ignore
  11. I stand with film, results, and reality. It happens to be flood. It ain’t personal.
  12. Did he play? Nope. Out of how many recruits and maybe Goosby though he didn’t play?
  13. I enjoy your posts. Nothing aggy about it. Really, the poster telling you to blindly support a coach is a more aggy mentally. Longhorns have discernment for the most part. Flood has been subpar for years in development and recruiting. He suckled on the ‘22 teat for years if one was paying attention. Played very few others so it was zero surprise what happened last year. Even the year before showed it when a one legged cam, that couldn’t move at all, was left out there in crunch time because we had zero bench strength. He. Couldn’t. Move. And we didn’t have a single ol that was serviceable. I’m a huge fan of sark but I don’t get that he could upgrade from pk, who performed extremely well at times, but kept flood who has underperformed each year against expectations. I got into it with the swiss miss from the other site about the oline early and he put a stake in the ground, cause sources. Later, he acquiesced (not to me lol) and changed his toon. Brooks was killed as a frosh and the bizarre Neto benching. I may have missed it but to date I haven’t heard a plausible reason for not trying him. Neto wasn’t Larry Allen but he wasn’t the swinging gate of the younger guards and performed solidly whoosh when in. Texas fans learn the hard way. Hopefully the transfers were trained well to make a difference this year but I really hope I’m wrong and flood kicks butt. I know I know but it’s May…
  14. Question @Hank South Most fans seem to gauge recruiting success with recruiting an all-star team. This is not only unrealistic but also unnecessary to win it all. With that backdrop, do y’all(I’m sure you do) have a position board at the beginning of each season that’s coded with team needs? Post recruiting season, do that yall indicate if that need was met, exceeded, or missed? I mean independent of a player’s name and more if the needs were filled. I would find it fascinating to see y’all’s before and after perspective and then a rolling 4 year window against each year to see y’all’s hit rate on the macro team success vs player journey. The look back would keep yall fresh on how your projections fared but you’d also get pretty grounded on current season prognostications. you might find that x position is invaluable unexpectedly and y is overrated, etc. eg we learned if your oline score is a 4, you need a VY. If it’s an 8, SE would crush it. I imagine y’all track, for yourselves, every player and crystal ball projection to see how you fare as a recruiting expert. I hope y’all add 1-3 reason why a player came or didnt to Texas as data points for future picks and bragging rights as the most informed and accurate site. Maybe not to share at a micro level but yall could share real world, high level data points that inform player destinations. We’re getting far enough into nil to start finding trends even in the Wild West. Apologies for the morning babble before coffee. Feel free to ignore, I would. 🤣
  15. Just saw this. I said those things about the reply. I don’t know you and I’m not sure why you personalized it. I’m sorry that I don’t look up everyone’s tenure before replying. If it helps, it’d be the same regardless because I’m addressing the 457 pages not you. That’s funny. I’m asking for basic things like patience and measured/thoughtful responses and you describe it as superiority. I’ve replied maybe 4 times and mostly because folks like you engaged me. Miss me with the whole feel better. It’s a just a reply. Flaccid was both funny and on point I think. Lol Welcome to OTF. They run the best Texas site imho.
  16. I think you’re right. He won’t see this daylight or outrun people this often but he would have been rb1 last year for us. He may not go 60 but I’ll definitely take (5)-(15) yards vs the (-2)-(3) of last year.
  17. It’s hyperbole but you prove point. It’s beaten to death what others have gotten and what we didn’t. How many times does it need to be covered? Y’all don’t know we are weaker. The only thing you know is some experienced players left, with noise/speculation around why, and a very talented group is coming in. The aggregate raw talent coming in is arguably better. The only thing we know is we are more inexperienced and yes we had a slim portal season. It doesn’t matter who anyone else picked until we see how they gel but that doesn’t stop the crying. It’s bad enough during game threads but this Texas. We can’t use our brains and elevate the conversation beyond woah is me. Even the mods are avoiding it. Mods need a new dedicated section for folks that just want to complain and lament under the guise of discourse. A permanent post for the main sports to vent, complain, or whatever so the mod posted topics are saved for different discussions. It’d be the most popular feature here.
  18. That’s such a lazy, flaccid, and simpleton reply. The sad thing is they are homogenous. What comments? This, like most things, are just about how one feels about something independent of reality or truth. Nothing insightful. Same nonstop b!tching over and over. Lamenting how others did well and crying about how terrible we’ll be. Dramatic conclusions about how terrible we’ll be, etc. based on what? There’s no conversation on how the new folks can mesh and be successful or how the ones that left might have been impacting the culture ceiling so it’s a net positive. No strategic talk on how to make it. Nothing that identifies a concern and how we can or why we can’t overcome it. Most is wah wah or begging mods to spill the tea for their diaries. Also, nobody knows. Fabulous incoming class but I guess they are predestined to fail. Maybe hold off on the b!tching until there’s actual observation but that would eliminate most commenters that just want to share their feels. Most of which are negative. They’re always the loudest because they’re typically miserable humans. I’d prefer quiet and patient approach or actual strategy to negativity or deluded optimism but that’s just me.
  19. Amazing insight from the WBB experts here. No need to tune in next year. Super helpful observations before the first practice occurs.
  20. Neither. It’s tbd. Addition by subtraction is a real thing. We don’t know if the ones that left are a value add to another team as much as we don’t if the incoming amazing class can gel from the beginning. Basketball might be the easiest sport for freshmen to have an immediate impact. Texas didn’t bring in anyone that the interwebs wanted but I’m not sure whom Vic missed out on that is crushing. Maybe he believes the new class is better than those exiting? Maybe he is stubborn and losing his touch with the current generation? TBD
  21. “Yall” want tea and/or reasons to make sense of the mass exodus that occurred not x/o. Enough has been alluded to and it’s nothing more than human conflict for whatever reasons. Vic probably needs to adjust some of his approach to 2026 while commits need to have the EI to play for a non flexible coach. Staff probably should have said something even if it’s to say we aren’t going to comment but it’s merica in 26. You’ll get what you get and you’ll like it. Also, they may have replied but I’m not scrubbing 25 pages of screenshots and dear Abby. I got one that ignores anything I ask and one that can’t reply to email even with no comment but I’m just a subscriber. South has been great in replying and overall this staff is still better than most. Probably time to lock this one and move on to how they’ll gel under Vic vs sky is falling speculation.
  22. 95% of this is drama. Why would they weigh in? Gossip? Campfire story? Reassurance it’ll all be okay? lol It is what it is and Vic will either make it work or some of his luster will thin out.
  23. I’ll never understand not identifying an issue. It’s a sport that’s measured. It’s simple cause/effect and nothing to do with blame. Qb is the most important position and can’t be measured the same. If you remove the blame notion and stick to what behavior or action needs to improve, it’s pretty easy. Arch happens to be the qb. This position requires “x” to be successful regardless of the actual individual manning the position. It impacts games and seasons. It’s never only 1 person that loses a season. That wasn’t the narrative but I think it’s objectively fair to say a dull season of year end arch gets us into the playoffs. His play lifted everyone once he got going. Have a great day! 🤘🏽
