...never got on a team? Now with NIL, if you don't perform, coaches will cut you. Whereas prior to NIL, coaches looked bad doing so, but not anymore. The money has changed that perception. Essentially,  college athletes are pros.

But isn't this what players wanted? I wouldn't say they're pro's, because a lot of these guys regardless of NIL will never even sniff the NFL. 

There could probably be more done to protect both the schools and players, do away with tampering and all that but the NCAA doesn't really care. They were against it for so long, never really monitored the money being pushed around before NIL and they don't really care now.

It sucks for some of these young men who have false pretenses of finding more elsewhere and end up with nothing. As I said, this is what the players wanted and unfortunately it's a double edged sword.
