Just wish this team gave us a reason to be excited to come to the arena or watch on TV. Other than the NC State game, rarely see entertaining basketball that excites the fans. Being bad is one thing; being almost unwatchable is a tough sell.

Disagree with that. Watching RT was unwatchable for me.

Texas is playing games in the 80's. It's very easy for me to see what Texas can be as they build ... I like what I see much, much, much more than RT.

Who get's credit for an "own goal" in basketball? The last player who touched the ball for the team awarded the points?

I think it’s their closest player to the goal.

Watching miller coach is refreshing.  He is coaching the whole game and beings the energy

This team moves well and the system is better than RTs for sure. You can tell Miller dosent have the cats to run this system at a high level. There is good movement and intensity on the opposite end. Better than RT when everything was ISO ball. Even when we are struggling it’s still a funner product. Tre Johnson was the only reason we won games last year too and we don’t have that star player this year.

Texas has to find a stretch four in the portal after the season IMO

But this season will bvery likely be looked back upon with the missed two FT's late by Swain vs. ASU

And Texas has fouled 7-8 times on three-point attempts this year. So much momentum killing fouls, and dumb fouls

Swain missed some free throws against UConn.  One time it resulted in a six point swing.

I keep looking back at the first years ... Nate Oats first year at Alabama was rough ... dang, some rough losses... 16-15

Lost to Penn 80-81

Lost to Rhode Island 79-93

Lost to Iowa State 89-104

Lost to Penn State 71-73

Lost to LSU 76-90

Lost to Missouri 50-69

Pretty good coach.

This was a pretty predictable need.

It’s the portal era.  You can get good players in year 1.  We have a bunch of guys who wouldn’t start on any top 20 team.

That's what I'm saying.

Danny Hurley at UConn, Todd Golden at Florida, Nate Oats at Alabama, Chris Beard at Ole Miss, Rick Pitino at St. John's, Mick Cronin at UCLA, the angry guy at Illinois

None made NCAA Tournament in year one in the transfer/portal era

It's not a given

The angry guy at Illinois? Underwood?

Weaver's open three in front of his own bench gives Texas its first lead since midway through the first half. Swain's steal and layup at the other end puts the Longhorns up by three.

His three-point play makes it a 69-65 lead for Texas with 8:28 to go in the game.
