The tournament was originally supposed to be hosted entirely at Stanford's new $50 million stadium, but ongoing permitting delays with the county forced games to be moved to surrounding local colleges like Santa Clara and West Valley College on short notice.   Due to stadium capacity and facility limitations, the tournament officials noted that all three games scheduled at Santa Clara reached a "sold out" status
