ESPN Way-Too-Early All-American Team (5 Longhorns on 1st team)

QB, WR, OT, EDGE and LB.

1. I think this is really good way-too-early list.

2. If Texas has all five of these hit, they will have a top 6 level team come CFP time because the starts will have been stars (performance and health).

Not a single Aggie on there. I keep seeing pundits talk about how the Aggies are about to make a big move under Elko, and that we're battling with them for state superiority. Not a single Aggie on this list. I honestly don't know how state superiority is in question. We've beaten them 3 straight times, and we're gonna make it 4. Tech at least had 3 Way Too Early 2026 All-Americans. They are #2 in the state. Aggies will always ag.

Not a single "the greatest ever" "historic portal haul" by "Portal King" Legacy on there?  Whit Weeks was recruited by Brian Kelly.

Regarding point #2, what do you think is the “sweet spot” as far as playoff seeding is? I don’t want the first round bye

Nice list, I hope that our guys hit big this year.  If they do, they'll have a great chance to hit their goals.  I wish we had ND's Leonard Moore from Round Rock, top rated corner.

6 keeps us on the opposite side of the bracket from the 1 seed.

Is Indiana the only team to win a game in this new playoff after a bye?

Yes. Makes you wanna think twice about winning your conference . I believe teams with a bye are 1-8

I’ll give the aggies credit in i think they finally found the right coach. We’ll see if he can build off of year one because it’s gonna be a task. That delusional fan base is prolly thinking national championship or bust after their CFP participation trophy.
