AusMOJO Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 3 hours ago, Here for the Wins said: Arch and Goosby both could have come out and been first rounders. We added Moseley and had Moore and Wingo. It’s likely one of those would not have been happy. Plus Endries and some highly recruited high schoolers. There’s a good chance an additional WR does play out as it does in your mind. As far as guard is concerned, that’s an interesting discussion. I don’t recall any discussion about Hutson not being a starter. Generally speaking, we were ok letting Baker and Cojoe battle it out. Going back 12 months, it’s difficult to see Neto or Kibble or Hutson to guard not being viable options. None of us are there all the time, but you’d assume that a well thought of recruit in his 4th year would work out fine. And we had two choices - Neto or Robertson. There are a multitude of things that could have gone differently to make the playoffs. It is a little ironic that Arch was blamed early on but almost is blameless in today’s discussions. Arch was playing horribly early on. He was missing such easy throws that had everyone scratching their head. But he eventually got it going and damn near carried the team to the playoffs. This years team is likely going to see a lot more 1st/2nd round talent in the 2027 draft and will give us a better chance for the playoffs if we can figure it out and not shoot ourselves in the foot. Lot of really talented teams on the schedule. 1 Quote

These GMs on some of these teams wonder why their team sucks, jets and Cardinals look at thier draft. It is crazy. Many of these picks make you think that more than half of NFL teams draft with their eyes closed. Edited 2 hours ago by harveycmd Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 21 minutes ago Posted 21 minutes ago Such an inexact science. How do you measure heart, work ethic, fit, desire...the draft is basically a guessing game. There are busts annually. Once the players in the first round see the bag, many just lose the hunger for the game. The Rey Lewis's are few and far between. 1 Quote

Taking the likes of Golday and Trotter before Hill is crazy. Drafting Boerkhicher at 56 overall is pure malpractice. Those guys could have easily been drafted in third and fourth round. Quote
