DBHookEm Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago Yeah this midweek pitching staff is just bad. Is it bad evaluation or are these guys just in their own heads? Quote
Burnt Orange Horn Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago A little late for that bullpen call! Quote

At some point, guys have to go out and execute pitches. These are the nights where guys can prove that they can be trusted in high leverage situations during the weekend. I won’t hold the one mistake against Crossland. He’s done enough good this season to prove he can be trusted. But there’s a reason why you haven’t seen much of the other guys who’ve pitched tonight in conference play. Quote
Burnt Orange Horn Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago Well, these mid week games do not count for horse apples. Young pitchers have to learn to pitch in tight situations for when it really matters. 1 1 Quote

f1revo Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago Confused on how in the world of NIL our bullpen can be outperformed by the Tarletons and Sam Houstons of the world. Hopefully their evals are better next off season. Quote

Point taken, but I fear maybe it's just the way the entire pitching staff is being managed, and these guys are checked out? Quote

Is it bad evaluation or are these guys just in their own heads? It’s different for different guys. Winter, for example, is physical. He hasn’t shown those flashes he had before he got sick. There are Pierce guys like Hamilton and Howard who the staff is trying to get something out of. The inability to find a reliable fourth starter is a problem though. One that’s not going to get solved this season. Quote
Buck Travis Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago Regional start in 4 weeks. Still time to get their minds right. Quote

If they’re checked out, that’s a good way to get yourself left off the postseason roster. Quote
