The most mind blowing thing about Texas basketball for me is their 9-3 all time record vs UNC.  For some reason, Texas has had their number against one of the best college basketball programs of all time.  It’s similar to Texas’ all time record vs Alabama in football.

It's really an unknown at this point on ... Johnson, Punch, Freeman and Goosby. They do believe the talent level being this high, there will be 1-2 from the starting five that go. Goosby is more likely to be 2 years, as of today, but if he shoots it well this season he will fly up draft boards because of the upside skill set and frame. Freeman could be a big riser too IMO, if he makes a few more plays for others in the flow to go with his elite athleticism and natural ascension in year two of high-major hoops

When he was introduced as head coach prior to last offseason, Sean Miller made a promise to the Longhorns' fanbase: "I am looking forward to the future of doing amazing things, which has become the standard here at Texas."

The group squeezed into the NCAA tournament as an 11-seed -- more surprising than amazing -- then went on a run to the Sweet 16. But signing Marcus Spears Jr., the No. 1 recruit in the 2027 class who reclassified to play this season, is the most amazing thing Miller has done to date. Earning the program's first Final Four appearance in 24 years would be even more incredible than that.
