I have lived in several places outside of Texas and have been to both Minnesota and Wisconsin in the summer and winter.  Don’t choose winter unless you are forced to.  Both states aren’t bad in the summer and have a lot of outdoor activities and better weather than most parts of Texas in the summer.

Summers are definitely better than Texas and lots of outdoor activities. The Fall is beautiful.

When I was a student at UT '72-'78, the Broken Spoke was out in the country. Same for the Salt Lick.

I was in Austin a couple of years ago and I noticed the Broken Spoke as I drove south, and my thought was that it couldn't be... because the Spoke isn't in town surrounded by apartments and businesses! Time flies...

Nice video by 'Sconsin. I've been to Madison and it's a nice town and a beautiful campus. I'll take Austin 9 months out of the year and Madison in the summers.
