WRNC Posted yesterday at 03:05 AM Posted yesterday at 03:05 AM Before his injury, Marcos Paz was viewed as a legitimate first-round MLB Draft talent and was ranked as high as the No. 2 high school pitching prospect in the entire national 2025 class. 1 Quote

His ERA last year started with the number 9. We have plenty of high upside guys with HS pedigree already on the roster. If they only want to add 1 or 2 pitchers, it should be more proven arms. Quote

You can pitch 3 perfect innings, then in the fourth load the bases with no outs, leave the game, and the next guy gives up a grand slam. That’s an ERA of 9.00 even though no one crossed the plate while you were on the mound. If we go after this guy, I am sure our staff will do a little more in depth research than just looking at his ERA 2 Quote

When you have almost 30 innings, it’s usually pretty accurate of how you pitched. He is a project. That was my point. And when you have a limited number of slots available, you usually want more of a sure thing than 27 walks in 29 innings. Edited yesterday at 12:54 PM by Assistant Regional Manager Quote
