Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted April 14, 2024 Author Moderators Posted April 14, 2024 Been busy with football visits guys and gals … but wanted to say this on Cam Scott… There has been some chatter that Texas was pro Cam Scott moving on … that’s not accurate. Texas didn’t kick a future 1st round NBA draft pick that would be a 2-year player to the curb. 2 Quote

Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted April 14, 2024 Author Moderators Posted April 14, 2024 Jayson Kent is a very smart player. College wing that you can effectively use in a number of ways on the offensive end. Can use as screener at time to stretch the floor and keep opponents from hard hedging on ball handler. Majority of his game is below the rim, but he's savvy and effective. Will make open three's ... going to be more of a catch and shoot from three vs. putting the ball on the deck and creating three's. Very good reader of the defense/cutter. Defensively - will need to be a smart defender at the SEC level. Can't overplay and crowd with him, as he lacks the high-end quickness to keep guards/wings with game off the bounce in front of him. 4 Quote
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted April 14, 2024 Author Moderators Posted April 14, 2024 Kent played in high school in the Chicago area. Was very lightly recruited ... signed with Bradley. Played two years and transferred to Indiana State. Has done a very good job developing his offensive game to the talent level he has faced. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/stats/_/id/4703889/jayson-kent 3 Quote

Also trying to get the most out of Tre being here one year. We are in a win now world. Quote

I think Texas upgraded the wing position today ... with this dude and Tramon Mark. Texas just didn't have a big college wing last season, and that was an issue when trying to play big. 1 Quote
