Texas scored eight runs in the 9th inning Sunday afternoon to take care of business 13–8. Conference series seemingly always start off rocky for the Longhorns, yet here we are with another series victory. Texas improves to 22–15 on the season with a 9–6 record in Big 12 play. The Longhorns sit alone in 4th place in the conference at the moment as well, behind West Virginia and Oklahoma (11–4) and Oklahoma State (10–5). With five conference series remaining, there remains plenty of opportunity for Texas to find consistency before the postseason begins. As things stand currently, Texas has the most home runs (74) of any team in the Big 12 and the third most runs (280). Glad they got a W and won another big 12 series!! The issue is pitching doesn't grow on trees, nor does it just show up 60% of the way through the season. So I bought season tickets at $150 each and put the rest of the games up for resale for only $10 per game. I've already made money on the deal. Mile High Horn Posted June 21 Share Posted June 21 I'm patiently waiting for Pierce to be fired. We need a better coach heading into the SEC with OU and A&M possessing superior coaches. David Pierce may be the worst current SEC baseball coach. He's a good coach who has done some good things such as facility upgrades, but he's not elite enough to coach for UT in the SEC.
