David Latiolais Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 If you're worried about scholarships number, why wouldn't you have an NIL deal that makes worth a player while to play at TX? Is there a NCAA rule about how many walk on you can have? Is it ego for a player to not be in scholarship? I could see a deal where you have an NIL deal that cover the cost of school and real money to play at TX? Quote
GoHorns1 Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 PWO must be admitted to the school as a regular student, scholarship players don’t 2 Quote
David Latiolais Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Thanks, great point I did not think about. 1 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 There is a limit to walk-ons of 20 I believe. But there's no reason beyond that. And Texas' Bert Auburn is technically a walk-on. 2 Quote
MarkInAustin Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Bobby, is it possible that is a limit to PWOs? The Service Academies are technically all walk-on, correct? Quote
