The exercise with the top 25 Longhorns got me to think of it from a different perspective. Here are my top 5 of the 25. 

1. Casey Hampton

2. Ricky Williams

3. Brian Robison

4. Earl Thomas

5. Derrick Johnson

Priest Holmes was an NFL Offensive POY, a 3-time All-Pro, NFL rushing champion, Super Bowl winner, and the NFL leading scorer in 2002.  He still holds the NFL record for yards from scrimmage per game (163 yds).

He may have the best NFL resume of any Longhorn over the past 30 years.

But he didn't have much longevity. But he did have a few great seasons.

Good list, I think Jamal Charles is also probably up there with his impact.  Crazy two of the Chiefs greatest RBs ever are both Longhorns.

Earl probably has the best shot at the HoF so there’s that.

Almost positive Derrick and Jamaal are still the Chiefs' all-time leading tackler and rusher.

Justin Tucker probably somewhere on there. Bijan will be on there one day. Byron Murphy as well.
