OTF on the Road: CE King High School | Wednesday 3:30 pm

Ahead of the OTF Tour stop in Houston, I’m at CE King High School to get a look at 2028 speedster Dillon Mitchell and plenty of others coming off of a run to the state championship game in 2025.

Dillon Mitchell says his focus right now is getting back into football shape after 10.14 in the spring. 

Says the media attention has been a lot, but it’s been fun for him. 

Says he hears from Texas in the form of letters mostly from the staff. 

Mitchell says he’s eyeing the Texas-Ohio State game as a potential visit date.

Recent North Shore transfer 2027 WR Aubrey Johnson is currently committed to Memphis.

Hasn’t heard from Texas, but has heard from Texas a&m quite a bit since the move to CE King.

2028 EDGE Cam Sydnor camped at Texas in the spring and says he still talks with LaAllen Clark a good bit. 

No visit plans just yet. But someone to monitor. 

Hang up for a few schools so far has been needing to add some weight. Sydnor, a former basketball player, is right around 225 off the edge.

Any hints or whispers on if he’s leaning pro track or college football? Sark would use this kids speeds to its best potential

2028 CB Cordey Sherman sits around 20 offers. Most recently heard from Ben Wells from Texas, but has heard from Orphey before  

Visited Texas twice, once for the UTEP game in 2025, and once more in the spring.

 2028 OL prospect George Perez looked great today. Probably a center at the next level, but coaches rave about his mean streak in the trenches. 

Probsbly 6–3, 285 right now.

Too early to tell. Would like to hear Texas’ communication with Mitchell was a little higher currently.

Wide receivers and corners were doing individual drills on the same side of the field in the indoor. 

one coach yelled at the corners, “if yall come any closer to #1, we are going to have some issues.”
