2-3 SEC teams will head to the bubble watch after this weekend

One thing to keep an eye on - as we move forward, will we hit some opponents in playoff elimination games?  So, if OU loses to Georgia this week, Red River turns into an elimination game.  LSU/Slurp will generate a second loss for someone...do we hit that team when it is staving off elimination?

For sure! Texas can give OU the knockout punch in three Saturday's!

Makes it so much fun.

I think this only makes the schedule even more difficult than it already was. If Oklahoma loses they come into that game fighting for their life and same with the loser of the LSU/A&M game when we play them in November

Is there a world where the SEC has 3-4, 3 loss teams that all have quality wins and only 2 teams with 2 or fewer losses? That’s how a 9-3 team makes it in this year imo.

I agree and i think there could be even more than that. I don't know all of their schedules and what is ahead of them but i could see a world where there are several teams in that 9-3 range. Teams like Missouri, Mississippi State, Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee could very well be in that range. And that would be a tough task for the committee.

I do think that scenario is possible ... not sure the odds, however. 

Could see Tennessee as one of those if they lose to Texas Saturday. 

They have a 9-3 schedule IMO

It is but that's actually an argument as to why the 12 team cfp is better as its currently constructed than if we go to 24. Oregon is playing a de facto elimination game Saturday vs USC because there's no way that team wins in the Shoe later in the year. That sense of urgency dies off if they increase to 24.

If the favored teams win this weekend, it will be another great weekend of results for Texas and it's rivals.  That being a Texas win and all rivals losing (Texas' permanent SEC rivals).
