Califashorn75 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) ...this kid from Tamaulipas is going to be a stud. I heard through the grapevine, he wants to play college basketball in the U.S. Can we get someone on our staff to start looking at him? Thanks. Edited 15 hours ago by Califashorn75 2 Quote

DanielOnorato Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Haven't watched him. Is this the prospect you're talking about? https://play.fiba3x3.com/players/3a8f4c82-4fcf-4fb6-aebc-ab401f9b9407 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago He is 6'10" now. He has mobility, great handle, quick, drives the lane...great prospect. My cousin was a pro player for Chihuahua and we follow the best hoopers out of Mexico. They have quite a bit of bigs in the under 16 age group. The country has finally developed a formal system, government funded, to develop athletes in major and minor sports. You see the results in soccer, flag football, and basketball, boxing, etc. My cousin, Chito Reyes, was a small forward on the NMSU Aggies in the early 70's. They were a Final Four team. We love hoops. I am a huge fan of women hoops. 2 Quote
.45s Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I grew up with a guy like that who was about that height at that age and wound up being a 7 footer. He was so unathletic it was pitiful. He was so skinny that coaches paid for all kinds of supplements for him in high school but it did not help. He did play on the JV team (perhaps play is not the right word) and he maybe got a few minutes a game just to keep him interested. A 6'10" guy who is athletic at the age you brought up has a good future for at least a few years. Quote
