According to the All-State Playoff Predictor models, here are the exact percentage odds of Texas making the College Football Playoff depending on which game results in a third loss:

Loss at LSU (Beating Mizzou & A&M): 81% chance

Loss at Missouri (Beating LSU & A&M): 86% chance

Loss at Texas A&M (Beating Mizzou & LSU): 86% chance

we ain’t dead yet even with a loss

Good stuff!! One inch, one down, one play at a time and the rest will take care of itself. We have to string together multiple quality games in the gauntlet of our schedule. I believe!!

With injuries, do not want to have to go to the CCG and face UGA. Best case if we win out is for Ole Miss to beat Georgia, which might give us a rematch that I'd be more confident in converting into a bye or 5 seed.

My biggest battered fan scenario is for A&M to be circling our game and pulling a Florida/OU level game with a backup QB not Reed.

I watched some of A&M game yesterday. Boy, Reed is not very good. They have actually been mediocre at best since losing to Texas last season.

I wouldn’t put much stock into this. Once the initial CFP rankings come out those percentages will change. I think a 3 loss Texas is probably in, but the committee could easily think the opposite.

Pshh he couldn’t even throw it back to the pitcher lol

Taylor helped him overcome that problem with a little help from Hugh Heffners friends 😂 Rube beat out Jake and made Parkman expendable!

Last year they had similar odds for us and obviously we weren’t close to the bubble

Yeah but this year we have better wins and not a catastrophic loss. We’ve beat #2, #17, #12, lost to 4-3 OU and #18 on the final possession by a combined 6 points. Last year we beat 8, 13, 15, 21, got smoked by 4-8 florida, and lost by 25 to Georgia.
