Nuufaola Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 I saw Alfred Collins walk. Same school as my youngest. Good times. 1 Quote
Jbf19 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 (edited) My daughter walked Thursday night. When she was a kid she always wanted to go to UT. She was incredibly disappointed when she wasn’t accepted out of high school and was instead offered the CAP program. Rather than letting her disappointment get the best of her she used that to fuel her hard work. She spent her freshman year (during Covid) at UTA and then transferred to Texas. Her first semester was tough and I know she wondered if she could cut it. Again, she put her head down and worked extremely hard. On Thursday, the girl who felt rejected by her dream school and wondered if she was good enough to be there graduated with highest honors and Magna Cum Laude. It was so good to be there to celebrate her with our family (especially her sister who’s a student at UW and was in from Seattle)! It’s been an emotional weekend for ole dad. Hook’ em to the 2024 graduates! Edited May 13, 2024 by Jbf19 4 Quote
