Bobby Burton Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 This is a great hire IMO. While Jeff Banks has been a very good ST coach during his time on the 40 Acres, I felt like Texas took another step forward this year in that regard and I think DeCamillis certainly helped. 4 Quote

I’d bet Banks will continue to apply some of the ideas Joe provided. I was selfishly hoping he would stick around another year, obviously wishful thinking on my part. 3 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 A move like this was expected. DeCamillis deserves a full-time gig. But I think it will have an impact on the Horns ST unit. 4 Quote

That being said, are there any others on staff that are actively being looked at? 3 Quote

Paul Chryst is still there on offense. 3 Quote

Filling the roles of Joe D, Payam, Jacquies Smith and Joey Thomas “the other young assistant you mentioned”? Edited January 27, 2024 by TexasLonghorns 2 Quote

Shawn Strayhorn Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Also, and sorry if I have this wrong, wasnt Joe D one that was there in Sarks ear to help manage the game in general? 1 Quote

Jonerz99 Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 This is a loss for our special teams and game management. I trust we’ll fill both roles well. 1 Quote
