Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted June 12 Moderators Share Posted June 12 OTF was told Tuesday night that Conroe (Texas) High 4-star CB Dorian Brew remained in talks with Texas on an official visit, but had yet to finalize a date. As of last night, Brew was not expected to be in Austin this weekend. He currently has Oregon scheduled for this weekend. Brew has had Ohio State on the scheduled June 21-23 for a while. 6 3 1
NothinButDaHorns34
Defensive back recruiting seems to be struggling this cycle.
agentmule
Hmm. Maybe ya'll could invite Dorian to appear on Coffee & Football for a What's BREWin' segment 😉 Edited June 12 by agentmule 4
Bobby Burton
Gerry's up at 5am. I'm not sure he even needs coffee to talk recruiting. 🙂 2

Quinncent McManning, Jr.
would suck to go from as good of a chance as anyone or slight leader to can't schedule an official visit. hopefully the coaches are working on more possible leads behinds the scene, committed to other schools or not.

Jerky
Appreciate the early morning heads up Gerry. 4* Woodby CB decommitted from OHST recently. Hope this wasn't to make room for Brew CB. OH St has 6 CBs in the last 2 classes including 4 elite CBs (5* Scott CB, High 4* West CB, 5* Sanchez CB '25 commit, 5* Offord CB '25 commit). Ducks signed 6 top CBs last cycle (3 recruits and 3 transfers). O and OHSt are loaded with top CB talent. In the next 2 years, I predict at least 1 highly rated CB will transfer from OHST and O. You would think Brew would at least take a home state OV since the path to playing time at Texas is not so daunting compared to OHST and O. Moderators CJ Vogel Posted June 12 Moderators Share Posted June 12 This is one you would love to see on a weekend official visit. Until that is locked in, it is worth questioning where Texas sits for the talented CB.
Hornmatic
Wonder if he would consider a fall commitment. Or be eligible for an in-season flip. Get out the spatulas!

Brew is basically an Ohio kid with heavy Ohio State ties.

Yes I am aware of Brew's OH ties and his Mom's OHST ties from her track days. Just thought we would at least get a June weekend TX OV considering we don't have four young 5* CBs plus other highly rated CBs like OHSt competing for 2 spots, 3 if you count NB. Reason why Sarkisian doesn’t give up on recruiting top prospects until Signing Day. Some would’ve give up on Campbell, Banks, and Williams for 2022. FatherofMinky
He doesn’t seem very high on UT for whatever reason. That’s disappointing, but whatever, move on to someone who wants to be here then..

Until Texas has a decision from Aidan Anding, got to keep fighting. If Texas were to get Anding to go with Chester, I might sit back and battle for Devin Sanchez during the season.

You think theres actually a chance Texas could pull him away?
