It is also being reported that several of the Michigan players are now "weighing their options. The strength coach leaving could be the crack in the Michigan foundation, as he was well respected by the players.

Grant is a take all the way.

Thank you for this, but this seems like an idiotic decision by UM officials.  I realize there are underlying reasons, but stupidity and/or incompetence should not be the primary factors.  And yet...

Not sure on that. Really depends on what the S&C coach was asking. "Long term" is a bit vague. There was some rumblings he was looking for 10 years. That is big contract and fan expectations are not tempered by things like value and budgets.

Long term contracts are dumb ask the aggies about dimbo Jimbo Fisher deal.

UM had the money. They saved a ton when Harbaugh walked. If the administration was listening to the players, they would have known it was possibly more crucial than retaining Moore. I wonder if Moore influenced this decision because he knew who the REAL influence was in the Big House? This could make Ohio State the big dog sooner rather than later, and UM better watch out with Oregon and USC coming their way... the Wolverines could be sitting on the outside of the playoffs... Nothing would make Penn State or Iowa or Wisconsin happier... let's see how far can UM fall in the new Big 10 in 2024? In the meantime Texas has to forget about 2023 and focus every week if the Horns want to make it to playoff this year. It will not be easy despite those who say the schedule is. Of course, 8 SEC games vs 9 Big 12 games is hmm... oh and by the way in this year's Super Bowl the starting QBs are from which conference? That's right... the Big 12! Tech and Iowa State, who says Texas didn't play a tough schedule before entering the SEC... I'll tell you who... The media! The same media that didnt give Bijon Robinson his due last year. But look now that he is in the NFL. Still Texas needs to forget about all that and remember tomorrow's a new ballgame. Horns Up! (Because if you're horns are down that's the same as giving us the finger in my book! Besides that, if your school doesn't have a sign, invent one. Don't go dirting up someone else's and using their's. Momma wouldn't approve of that, and we don't appreciate it. AND If your coaches and administration don't understand that... well their mommas didn't teach them very well or their just not very bright either!) Lets keep the tower lit in Orange! HORNS UP! EYES ON YOU!
