CastleHorn88 Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 I was chatting with an Army buddy from Ohio and we were talking about talent acquisition. He said the UT roster was comparative to the tOSU teams of 2013-2016. If you look at the skill positions on offense and the linebacker, DEs and secondary I can kind of see the resemblance. What do you guys think? 🫡🤘 2 Quote

They had Zeke & Michael Thomas but overall Texas will end up with the better offensive guys. I think the edge defensively is OSU. We’ll see how some of the guys pan out on our backend & this could be viewed differently. But unfortunately as good as Simmons is I’m not sure he’s Bosa good. & their secondary was pretty elite so time will tell. But not a bad comparison at all. 2 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 Hopefully... - Ewers/Manning > JT Barret/Cardale Jones - We know Ezezial Elliott is likely better than any current Texas RB, especially that season he had. - Texas has smaller receivers than that Ohio State team. Although they may have a stronger group overall - Michael Thomas may be the best of either group. - I think they had higher end guys on D. Bosa, T Decker, D Lee, E Apple, and V Bell. Where I think Texas might be truly better is the OL, TE and QB. 3 Quote
