It is regarding the Freer Band playing at Steve McMichael’s HoF introduction. Thank you to all who participated and/or passed the word around. I firmly believe everyone who participated paid it forward some so thank you very much. ** “Good evening Bobby. I just spoke with the superintendent. Freer raised about $23K in donations from the go fund me and private donations sent to the school. The community held a bingo last night that raised over $7K. The students leave Wednesday morning. He said they’re going to buy each student some sort of souvenir and give each student some money. Most of these kids won’t have any money of their own. They also bought a pass for each that will get them entry into both the NFL hall of fame and the rock and roll HoF in Cleveland (since it’s the band). Thank you and all of your friends, cohorts, listeners, sponsors, fans, everyone associated with OnTexasFootball. The happiness I know these students will experience will last for the rest of their lives. It is such a privilege to witness the love and support for our tiny community.
