OU Tears Thread

Recommended Posts

Hate to toot my horn, but I called it right a couple weeks ago: Hawkins replaced Arnold during the Tennessee game. The blackmailer's tenure as criminal QB is over. He'll be at Mississippi State, Baylor or Texas Tech next season. Kind of shame, really. Would have liked to had him start Red River.

Wonderful rant on the state of criminal football from RJ Young. What he left out is that it's Venables fault. You can blame Arnold, and he is a primadonna punk, but Venables wasn't forced to give in to him. This wasn't necessitated by unfortunate circumstances. Goober boy coach made the wrong decisions. That's why your offense is historically bad.

Yeah he made a Big 12 QB decision headed into the SEC. This is a mistake he may have been able to make in the last conference.

Huge fun trolling the criminal interloper fan base. Most admit Arnold is a chump and Venables screwed the pooch. Some try to argue. When you hit them with stats and the facts about Arnold pimping Venables, they shut up.

If this Texas defense does what I think it will in three weeks, OU might struggle to get to 10 points unless they score some special teams or defensive touchdowns.  Seth Littrell and Joe John Finley will probably be left in DFW after the game if that happens.  Bedenbaugh has gotten complacent as well but I think he’s safe for now.

I know you never want to lose to OU, but it looks like their win in Dallas last season has crippled their football program for years to come.  That win bought Venables an extra season that he otherwise might not have gotten.  OU won that battle, but they are losing the war.

This is true. They probably beat a B12 team 15-9 last night because I will give them credit for having a good defense.

I hated it at the time but the way things turned out, sign me up again. You’re right, he got a big safety net with that win. However, being completely unbiased, they have had a ton of injuries this year. Still wouldn’t have beat Tennessee but they may look like the 25th best team instead of the 40th best.
