Steve Wiltfong said in his most recent article that Michigan is the leader for Osborne. Long way to go for him so I'm not really worried but that's interesting cause I figured Texas was seen as the leader at the moment.

We shall see. I wouldn’t be headed to Michigan if I were an offensive player right now.

If Michigan can flip Bryce underwood I think this would change.

I don’t think Underwood moves the needle in that program much. QB is a huge problem but it’s deeper than that. They were great at identifying talent in the portal and developing high school guys, who knows if they have that without Harbaugh. What’s concerning the most is how bad they evaluated the portal pieces especially on the OL. They’ll also be losing a lot of pieces in the trenches again, they’re in rebuild mode and we will see if Moore can do it.

One RB for sure Texas is pushing for in 2026 ...

Amari Latimer of Sandy Creek in Tyrone, Ga.

We shall see who the second RB Choice truly pushes for

Has Lattimer passed up Osborne for Choice's top RB option?

Given the injuries this year and how the youth of the position has kind of hurt us (especially in pass pro), is there any way Choice/Sark changes their philosophy to go 1 high school and one portal RB each year vs the 2 high school and no portal we've had these last couple cycles?

Choice isn't going to have much difficulties in finding two HS RBs as his standard operation with what happened with Clark and Baxter (injury wise).  No issues with getting a portal RB, especially if they're a grad transfer.  It didn't help with Baxter and Clark went down with injuries.

Completely agree, Choice won't have issues getting his guy and that the injuries killed us.  But how different would the season have been if we had taken one of Gibson or Clark (I assume it would have been Gibson, but I don't know their board) and a 4th year portal RB who actually knows how to pass block?  RBs are fairly easy to find in the portal, so it just makes sense to me that we take one to develop and one that is ready made to contribute.

What happened with Texas and Caden Durham? Texas made a mistake if they didn’t prioritize him last year.

Texas took Jerrick Gibson and Christian Clark for the 2024 class.

Yeah I know. I’m wondering why he wasn’t prioritized. Or did he just not give Texas much chance.

I think Jerrick Gibson was more highly regarded amongst the recruiting services and Texas wanted to take a bigger back to complement him in Christian Clark.

I would be surprised… I believe it will still be 2 HS guys in a class

Durham was #3 or lower on Choice's RB Board.  Durham wanted to come to Texas.

Durham wanted OU #1… had OU tattoo from what I remember … he’s from OKC (Millwood is where he would have gone if he hadn’t moved)

With that said, very good player.

So he just wasn’t into Texas. Got it…is what it is.

Michigan advance scouting has seen a huge drop off this year, thus the poor offense 😀

Gerry knows far more than I, but I think he really wanted a Texas offer which he never received.

He did receive an offer.
