Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is back in front of the microphone today for his weekly press conference.

The Longhorns will host Florida this weekend as they return from their second, and final, bye week of the season. Florida lost to Georgia in Jacksonville over the weekend, but most importantly, might have lost their starting quarterback, DJ Lagway, for the season due to injury.

On the possibility of Lagway not playing:

Sarkisian says Texas will prepare for the scheme and the Longhorns must approach the gameplan vs. the Gators, rather than the quarterback itself.

Sarkisian: "Our mojo offensively is one thing that I really want to get back."

Says sometimes there is an "over-try" that hurts the swagger and mojo of the offense. But if Texas can get back to where they were earlier in the year to combine with the defense, they will be in good shape.

"What I loved about today's practice is the spirit, the energy, the intent."

Sarkisian says he didn't want the bye week to bleed into a game week and he didn't feel like it did on Monday's practice.

Steve Sarkisian says DT Sydir Mitchell has had his best two weeks of practice over the last 14 days.

Was he able to jog onto the field without being winded?

It worries me it’s an IF.

Texas is DOA without electric offense.
