Lorena (Texas) High 2025 DL and Baylor pledge Jackson Blackwell tells OnTexasFootball he plans to attend the game Saturday with his family.

This is the second Texas game he will attend this season, and is a prospect the Horns staff continues to evaluate.

@Gerry Hamilton what are the chances that Blackwell ends up with a offer?

Don't have that answer right now.

There has been some talk of trying to sign 5 DL's ... one being more of a developmental player with a longer run way.

I like Blackwell, period. He could be a =n anchorer DL, or he could be one hell of a C/G... but he wants to play DT, and he has the motor and physicality

I suppose this says a lot about their prospects of signing Terry, Wynn, Mathis, Mbatchou, etc…?

Love the long-term developmental aspect.  One thing our staff has shown is an ability to develop.

Except that Blackwell does not have a Texas offer yet.  That says that we are still in the running for higher on the board DLs.  If Blackwell ever gets an offer from us, you  will be correct.
