Because his evaluation and development of Ewers has been something no person should question.

This is a valid point. QE has been a disappointment in comparison to Expectations.

In comparison, KJ Lacey is mobile and has much better pocket presence and athleticism. He can also throw on the run because he’s had to run for his life this year…if that’s any consolation lol

Ahh so you looked at a whole paragraph and focused on the only sentence you wanted to complain about. Even ignored the replies of me saying I trust Sark and wouldn’t ever worry about QBs under him. Or I guess you just didn’t see those huh? Again, idiot.

My points simple. You don’t know anything so let sark cook.

I wouldn’t even engage with him. He has been kicked off of pretty much every Texas message board out there. Isn’t even a Texas fan.

The horror of a coach going 17-3 the last two years with Quinn Ewers at QB after coaching a bunch of NFL QB’s the last decade. How will we ever recover from this QB crisis?

Sark missed out here. Saving grace is that he can probably go from Arch to Dia Bell. Gerry's talking out both sides of his mouth on this KJ Lacy thing. Doesn't matter how big he is or isn't. He's not Keelon Russell, and that's all that matters. Longhorns could have had Russell this past spring.

Naw I will trust Sark's evaluation over a fan's take that's purely basing it on physical traits and shiny stars 🌟 next to the recruits name. 😂🤣

You can certainly question Sark’s decision of Lacey vs Russell. But, Sark knows better than anyone which QB’s skill sets translate to his offense of getting the ball into his playmakers’ hands. I also believe Russell is a better player than Lacey.
However, the reality of the situation now is that Russell is a top 3 national recruit. Not many of those guys are willing to come in and sit behind a guaranteed starter for at least 2 years at a minimum without having a chance to start. For that reason I don’t think his commitment would have stuck at Texas as his profile rose.

Assuming no major injuries, Manning will play at least two seasons, then Lacey and Bell can duke it out for the starting spot once Manning goes pro.  Not worried about QB after this season as long as Sark is the HC.

Let's not count out Trey Owens just yet either...

Nothing outrageous has been said here, other than you being a dick for no reason. Considering how he has blown up, it's a completely fair question and why message boards exist.

Wow that Jackson Arnold guy was a late riser QB who committed to a team that drives a lot of traffic and he put up crazy high school stats too!!!

He must be killing it in college now.

Trust the evals of the guys who have been doing it successfully with different QBs for a very long time.

Or, and bear with me, you can form your own opinion. Which will be proven wrong or right eventually. And you can even voice this opinion on college football message boards, while also trusting Sark and the staff on a macro level.

KJ Lacey has point guard eyes and footwork that helps with pocket presence.

I appreciate that Sark also is thinking about the big picture. If he offered Keelon, we would lost KJ for sure. And the likelihood that either one sits for 2 years behind Arch is slim. And with Trey in the program, you are not even guaranteed to be 2nd QB up. I trust in Sark's decision-making. Besides the last time we had a QB verbally committed (Jalen Milroe) and started offering other QBs like Nussmeier, we ended up with none.

Don't know why some on here have to be such assholes with their responses. Pathetic.
