We all knew Mark was going to move into the starting lineup, and Weaver didn't show very well in our last game. That said, I will note one potential issue with our great start tonight. Zero assists. Our offense has entirely been people creating their own shot. Until that pass around to get an open shot for Pope in the corner. That is the sort of thing I want to see from this team. Quote
Neil Leininger Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Great ball movement for the corner 3. Kaluma needs to know when to give the ball up like he did for the open 3. 2-2 for Pope so far. Quote

bierce Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 And Mark with the good d being rewarded with the dish from Pope. things like that make me think this team can be great if it plays as one. Quote

Then Kaluma driving into the teeth of the d without a plan makes me think there is still a lot of work to do. 2 Quote
Neil Leininger Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Kaluma needs to sit now. He's killed the offense flow with 3 bad drives, 2 missed difficult layups and a live ball TO leading to a foul on Johnson. Quote

That was literally the best play so far. When the shots are not falling you have to run an offense. Quote

It’s the first game, but I want to watch that going forward. Quote

We just need one thing for this team to be great. We need Kaluma, Mark, and Johnson to understand they will be ever so much greater helping each other than trying to outdo each other. Mark's turn to jack up a crappy shot. 3 1 Quote
Neil Leininger Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 4 guards and Onyema after the TO. 1 Quote
bierce Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 Mark gets the steal and goes one on two instead of using his teammates to get a bucket or bring it out to set up the offense. Good start, bad finish to the play. 1 Quote
Neil Leininger Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 This lineup is disgustly bad. Let's never try this one again, Terry. Quote

bierce Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 Tons of movement away from the ball on that possession that led to the Shedrick layup. Nice to see. Quote
