How bout video of the twenty throws that were right on the money? https://www.instagram.com/secnetwork/p/DDSxmcXyvHT/?img_index=1

You said Quinn "did everything you could reasonably ask." I showed you a replay where it's reasonable to believe he can make a much better throw there, and it was a CRUCIAL play in the game.

It’s both.  Two things can be true at the same time.  Actually, many things can be true.   He plays really well at times, and then…..he doesn’t.  Like I said in another post, he is high risk, high reward.  The only stat that matters at the end of the game is the scoreboard.  He doesn’t suck, and he’s not amazing.  He is high risk, high reward.  He didn’t play well enough against Georgia to win.  You have to score touchdowns. You also have to make field goals, not commit penalties, and sniff out trick plays on 4th down.  All these things are true. Some of the games this year he had horrific mistakes that the defense and guys thrown 5 yard passes in space bailed us out and got us the win.  In those games, the only thing that mattered was the score at the end.  Quinn gets credit now for those wins even if he didn’t play the best.  And although he had an amazing 1st quarter this go around, he still gets credit for losing because we lost.  Hope we win from mow on. If he plays well we can.  If he doesn’t against an Oregon or Notre Dame we won’t overcome it.

I didn't say played perfect. I said he did all you reasonably ask. Do you think if Arch had played he wouldn't have missed any throws? I want Arch, but you can't just cherry pick and claim its all crap. Quinn moved the damn ball up and down the field. He should have helped us score more points. But, damn, he's the reason we had 400 yards offense.

Looking back at the film, was there any reads that Quinn could have thrown to score a td? Was there any way to evade the pressure and extend the plays? Watching on tv, didn’t seem like there was much. Only talking about in the redzone

He missed like 3 throws for 6, including the game winner with Wingo down the sideline that would've resembled Georgias defeat against Bama in the NC a few years back with that Heisman winning receiver. He flat underthrew the ball which resulted in Wingo gearing down and a PI. Missed Moore for 6 in OT. He sucked....just the reality. Can't make the throws.

Who was the best QB on the field in the SEC title game?

2 of 10 in the red zone for 5 yards with a dropped INT. When he needed to put the team on his back to deliver the winning throw in the red zone ... DID NOT HAPPEN.

Same as Washington.

It's a team sport, yes. We all agree. QB's are separated by the ones who get it done in the clutch, or when the chips are down and their team needs them the most.

Why do you think Texas fans believe they would win every game with Vince? Because he would make the play when you absolutely had to have to win a game. Same question for Pat Mahomes. Same question for Brett Farve. I can go on and on and on.

Look, I hope Quinn delivers in that situation in the playoffs ... he didn't against Washington and he didn't Saturday ... when his team needed him to make one red zone throw to win the game.

We aren't going to agree on this, and it's all good.

Now I’m upset with @Gerry Hamilton too because he didn’t mention the GOAT or greatest clutch player ever in Brady. Lol

Georgia ran it into the end zone. We didn't. That's not on Quinn.

60 yards rushing TOTAL both games.

13 sacks TOTAL given up both games.

where are the adjustments by the playcalling guru?

people blow my mind

No problem. We can disagree. He's not good enough in the red zone. Not the playmaker to pick up the team that he needs to be. Hope het delivers in the playoff!

On the same note can a wr get open in the redzone to help Quinn make a play so he's not having to make a sportcenter top 10 throw?

More concerned about who the winning qb was. It wasn't Quinn. I like Quinn, but he has as much blame as anybody. We lost as a team. We have 2 weeks to fix our mistakes. Defending or blaming any player won't help win any of our remaining games.

That portal acquisition of Etieine paid huge dividends for them. Every point against us this year was either by him or their kicker. Seeing him hit the corner with speed and power those few times from my seat angle in the Georgia dome reminded me that we don’t have someone with that combo on this team.

Quinn passed for something like 360 yards and a touchdown. Georgia QBs didn't. Quinn can't stop Etienne from scoring a touchdown in OT.

I think Bert Auburn is the reason Texas lost, not Quinn Ewers.

Certainly his misses hurt, but when you dominate the 1st half with almost as many yards as they had total in the entire game and you only have 6 points to show for it, that is a problem. We can blame Auburn all we want, but we should've had TD's and not settled for FG's. If we had been up 21-3 or more in that 1st half, you would've forced Georgia to throw more with their back up, which would've played right into our hands. Instead they played how they wanted to and basically wore Texas down. Strong defense with a good running game to boot.

Also, you kind've derailed Gerry's thread here, but I guess we all ended up doing that, didn't we? Lol.

He had 360 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT's. A bunch of missed TD plays, too. Not all on him, obviously, but still. I also know you're not trying to blame the D for this loss when they held Georgia to under 300 yards and 16 points, LOL.
