What does Texas have to do to make the NCAA Tournament?

I think that's the part that keeps me from ever being too invested in the basketball program even though I've been watching it and pulling for them since I was a kid. I never have a doubt they'll put everything in to win in football even if they screw it up at times, but seems they feel basketball is something it would be nice to win a title in but not dedicated to go all out to get it done.

I will say it until I am blue in the face, but Ron Holland made a really bad decision. He could have been a one year star here, and eventually taken over the offense in place of Hunter. Shooting 24% BTA in the GLeague is not doing a lot for his draft stock. He's playing in a glorified AAU league which has not had a lot of success of one and dones getting drafted into the NBA. I guess he has a shot to rebuild his stock this weekend.

Sweeping the home games is an absolute must. While possible, seems unlikely they will get one on the road.

100% agree. The road games that were the ones to win (barring key injury late in season) have already happened.

Agreed. And he is 6-6.25 without shoes ... his draft stock has fallen as the G-league season has gone on.

They aren't getting this game barring drastic changes. Houston is amped up, their crowd is amped up, and we look like our inconsistent selves.

They are not making the tournament and terry isn’t a coach that’ll get us there. Can’t blame CDC for hiring him, But i don’t think he’s a championship level coach.

CDC should have made the contract very easy to get out of. I wasn’t against the hiring last year because he just had to stear the ship that Beard had already put on course.  If they want to cut bait this season, I wouldn’t be mad, but I cannot watch half the games the play is so bad.

Texas has to win the games they are supposed to. Ou, KSU and Okla St are must wins.  No hiccups.

Then they have to hope they can maybe pull an upset somewhere. I don’t see any left on the schedule right now. I would absolutely love to see them beat Tech in Lubbock.

The OT game against Houston was the one to win to get them in. They had no shot at this one from the jump ball barring a ridiculous shooting night
