I get the value of having a big man help by screening, our guys moving the ball, and gap exploitation. I was a huge fan of Christian Bishop for doing so much to help our offensive players get openings. But Shedrick has never been good at receiving a pass while moving, and Onyema . . . well, he gets a little too enthusiastic when setting screens, like he did last night in putting whoever that was to the floor. I'm not saying you're wrong about whether they are being used right, just that they may not be the guys we would ideally want in the roles you envision. It's like, my gosh, we could have used a guy like . . . oh, never mind.

Or like when Larry did what Larry was doing in the second half against Florida. Or when we need Weaver to fight on the glass because we are getting creamed on the offensive boards because no one except Kaluma on the front line is getting rebounds. Weaver is a valuable guy. He might be behind the other 4 guards in the rotation, but he brings a dimension the others do not. Including the occasional flight to the roof of the gym for a rebound or dunk that gets an otherwise tepid crowd back into the game. Pope, Larry, and Kaluma are one of the top 3 man rotations in all of college basketball. Those 3 need to play as much as possible together moving forward.
