Take a deep breath, Mike.

No.  Truth hurts.  And it's sad that expectations are so low for bask but not surprising.  It's the worst program on campus. Hopefully the next coach can bring some excitement back to the program.  Coaching matters. Just look at baseball now under Schloss as compared to Pierce.

Committee says UNC was last team in.

Texas likely second to last team in ... so even had UAB beat Memphis, Texas was in.

Texas was 41 on the seed list, so the first of the last four at-larges.

Terry gets his shot against two coaches in Miller and Underwood that would take his job in the instant it was offered.

I am an Underwood fan, but I've heard that Illinois is where he wants to be.

So who is the coach with the achievements of Schloss that CDC will have to land?

Have no idea. But I suspect he has someone one the hook already.  He had one with Beard.

Not something to be proud of - but at least we are in.

As for me I'm pulling for Duke, a remnant of growing up in ACC country as a high school basketball player.  They have an excellent shot this year if Flagg's ankle is even 95%, but also a recent record of getting banged around by experienced older teams and losing unexpectedly too.

We're a 2.5 pt dog as of 10:30 Sunday night....

I actually like Texas in this match up ... if the Horns contain Ryan Conwell. The Indiana State transfer is one of the best shooters in the country with 97 three's made at 41%, and averages 17 per game. If Texas limits him, Xavier will have to find scoring from other places (outside of Freemantle).

Xavier shoots 39% from three ... defending the 3-pt line will be key Wednesday night.

Pansies at Texas now. Just listened to a goober complain about writing a ten page paper at the end of the semester. When I went to Texas, we had 10k word essays due every week over 500 pages of reading Hegel. No way to fake it either. I remember having an assistant prof who pre-read your essay before you read it to the class. They literally cut putzes who were filibustering.

By the way, my professor for that class was Robert Solomon. That was 1991. He wasn't anything compared to my later studies under Stanley Rosen at the University of Chicago, but he prepared me.

Thanks.  I saw part of an Xavier game early in the season and have no feel for them whatsoever.  I recognized Hugley from OU but his role appeared to be their Onyema.   So every tidbit of scouting you can provide is appreciated, at leastm by me.

Just curious - when was Rosen at Chicago?  Sometime around 20-30 years ago I heard him give a guest lecture at UT and he was introduced as the Something Distiguished Professor at Boston University.

When I was a freshman at Rice in 1960 I attended a guest lecture series featuring two theologians - Paul Tillich and Eugene Borowitz.  Somewhere around the middle of the second night's "debate" I lost the thread.  I was reminded of that experience when I listened to Rosen.

So we took 2 Indiana St transfers and they weren’t even the top 2 players on their team?

Cronwell wasn't a possibility for Texas. The Horns had Tre Johnson coming in at the same spot
