harveycmd Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Be pulling for three SEC teams in the Elite 8. Can't bring myself to root for Oats and his acquiescence to lethal criminal activity. Can't stand Duke either. Have to abstain there. Quote
bierce Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) Oldest coach in today's games is Nate Oats, who is 50. Average age of coaches today is 44. Youngest coach in tomorrow's games is Bruce Pearl, who turned 65 this month. Average age of tomorrow's coaches is 70. Another unique thing about this Elite Eight is that the eight teams remaining were the top 8 in Pomeroy rankings on selection day. This final 8 has the lowest amalgam of seeds ever since the tournament went to 64 teams. Oh, and thanks to a three landing on the bridge and crawling in at the buzzer, Pomeroy bull's-eyed his prediction in the Michigan State-Ole Miss Ole Iss Ole Ipp Ole I game. A coach who has zero interest in Texas too. Why leave Tech? Fans were loud the whole game. Only place Texas fans travel to is San Antonio. Quote

If Duke beats Bama and winner of Houston - Tennessee game and winner of Florida/Auburn/Michigan State they're gonna cut down the nets. FIFY (kidding (sorta) but I've been a Duke fan since Art Heyman and Jeff Mullins in the early '60's and I've seen enough bizarre unexpected games or upsets or injuries to not count the banners before the final whistle blows) Edited March 30 by ArizonaLonghorn 3 1 Quote

Joe Zura Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I should have never picked Tennessee to win this game knowing Rick Barnes is the coach well my bracket is busted 🤡🤡 Quote

Setting records again, I see The Volunteers were 6-for-28 from the field, which is a woeful 21.4%. They were also 1-for-15 from three-point range, which was bad enough for 6.7%. Feix Okpara and Jordan Gainey were the team's leading scorers with four points each. Meanwhile, Zakai Zeigler was a brutal 1-for-7 from the field and hit 1-of-4 three-pointers. If that wasn't bad enough, Houston outrebounded Tennessee 26-17. Edited March 31 by ArizonaLonghorn Quote
harveycmd Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Can see Houston manhandling the Duke pretty boys and then losing to the Florida/Auburn winner. Quote
Dread-headed Texan Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Houston plays defense like they just escaped jail Quote
Sundancekid Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Kelvin Sampson is a freakkn’ wizard. Unbelievable team effort to come from behind and take the lead no matter how this game turns out. 1 Quote
