JMarquette Posted April 7 Posted April 7 That’s another guy with multiple years of eligibility - Beard did something similar. Miller looking to build for the future. 1 Quote

One more big (Texas leads for Lassina Traore) 2. Guard shooter with size 3. Developmental player (could be G or skkilled big that needs a year) 12 1 Quote

Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted April 7 Author Moderators Posted April 7 A lot of things I like about Matas ... a couple 1. Very good hands for a big man. 2. Has a left hand scoring ability 3. Runs floor with purpose 4. Physical player, period. 12 Quote

jkates Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I like this kid's game. He needs some strength and will need to be a stronger finisher at the rim in the SEC, but he gots skills. 1 Quote

Thanos72 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 @Gerry Hamilton@CJ Vogel Solid pick up. Any sources sharing Miller’s perspective of being at Texas? Things like brand, support, NIL etc.? Quote
bierce Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I'm happy for this pick up, but I'm not over the moon about it. He's a true freshman, so there is plenty of room for improvement, but he's not a plus shot blocker, a guy with big offensive range, or a guy you can expect to beat a guy of similar size and strength on the block. He is someone who seems to understand the game very well for his age, and he is terrific at positioning. Check out his transfer portal highlight vid, and you will see what I mean. There is nothing there that wows you with his athleticism, but it is a terrific exposition of understanding how to get into position to score. Give this guy 3 years of S&C training, and he could be awesome, but don't give up on him if he appears to be something less than what you hoped in his first year here. 3 1 1 1 Quote
ChanmanV Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Let's go! The roster is coming together well. Could use either another big body or a traditional PG that can shoot and defend. 1 Quote
