Texas v 0u Tickets Needed

I'm very excited to say I'm bringing my eldest daughter all the way from Brisbane, Australia, to the Red River Shootout this year.  It's my first time attending the RRS and my daughter's first Texas game.  Only one hitch in my giddyup:  I don't have tickets.  If anyone has a contact or has some advice on tickets, it would be greatly appreciated.  I was just about to pull the trigger on two tickets from Vivid Seats, but saw some horror story reviews on tickets going to the wrong people, etc.  I can't afford to come all that way and get duped at the last hour.

We have a reasonable budget, but we're not looking for 50yd line (unless someone is feeling very generous).  We just want to be in the building to experience the game.

Any / all help appreciated!  Also, I don't normally play this card, but I'm a US Air Force vet, so if that helps with acquiring tickets in any way, I'm not above saying thank you.

Give it some more time. Not sure if season ticket holders even know where their seats are yet. You’re going to have a blast!

Thank you.  Most of the feedback I'm getting is to wait until about the second week of September and hit StubHub, so I'll give that a whirl.  Someone else suggested VetTix, so i'll give that a go as well.

RRS was my first live Texas game (unfortunately the Caleb Williams breakout game) and it was incredible! Flew down from Connecticut but copped tickets on Ticketmaster like mid-September. Very thorough, we sat on the top of the Texas side behind the end zone! Bring a HAT! It’ll be a great time!!! Appreciate your service

Yes give it some time, many ticket holders that are getting ou tickets still haven’t gotten to choose them. I think that lasts until the end of the month. Most tickets picked already are the best ones. So if you wait you will have more selection and better pricing.

Thanks to all for the advice, it's very much appreciated.  One question for those who have been to the game, I found tickets in the corner of the endzone on row 2, Texas side, but I'm worried if they're that low we won't be able to see a lot of the game.  Is that the case, or should I jump on them?  Happy to wait, but if they're good, I might go for them.  Does anyone know if Vivid Seats is ok to use?

Definitely jump on them! You’ll be good! I know people have their preferred sites, I haven’t used vivid personally. But as far as I know pretty reputable! Also, trust your gut parking! You can get fairly close parking for not too bad ($15-$25). I got pre-paid parking and walked like a mile to the fairground, never again

Definitely wait. Prices will come down. When you get to the Fair come to the food court before the game. It's a blast in there.

Thanks MB!  We plan on trying to get there as early as possible and just make a complete day of it.  To say I'm excited about it would be like saying Bijan was an ok RB.

Living in Okla the last few years ticket prices drop after OU first and second losses. I’ve been on the OU side a few times watching Texas roll for less than face value.
