Uhh. Glad we didn’t go there. congrats to waxahachie on the big win

That guy needs to be suspended for the rest of the year and charges filed.

Having said that I think that handshake line at the end of the game needs to be done away with. There isn’t much  sincerity involved there.  Game over go to the field house.

Sad to say but highly rated kids who play in major schools usually have ego issues, depends on the position for some reason.

Poor sportsmanship for sure. Let’s relax on the assault charges.

This was in a post game handshake line with a guy not even in uniform.

I am aware of the situation. I just find it highly unlikely that we’d be calling for the same punishment if it was a Texas football commit.

We’ve had commits get on the wrong side of the law. I think the difference is we accept it rather than bend over backwards demanding second chances.

Maybe we just disagree on what constitutes being on the wrong side of the law. If this happens during a game, it’s a 15 yard personal foul penalty. But if it happens in the handshake line, it’s assault and he should be arrested?

Yes. When you’re on the field you expect to get hit, your helmet is strapped on, your mouthpiece is in and players often get caught up in the heat of battle. There’s an expectation of contact, most of it allowed, some not so much. This was after the game was over. Also, he swung at three different people, including a guy not suited up.

Personally these lineups are bs. Any sportsmanship is performative at best.  If there’s an opponent you want to seek out to congratulate, you can always do it without the bs.

If you punch someone in the game it is an ejection. You’re missing the forest for the trees dude. Yes, he grabbed the facemask of one guy, but keep watching, he throws a punch at a guy in street clothes that was supposedly an injured player.
