Texas could secure a 1 seed with a good showing in the SEC tournament. Ranked 3 right now and #2 in RPI they currently sit in a very strong position. 
 

winning their first match and then a likely rematch vs A&M probably enough to remain in the top 4 overall even with a loss to Kentucky in the championship. Win the tourney and have a shot at the 2 seed (Nebraska will be the overall 1 seed). 

Getting the 2 or 3 overall seed would be nice to avoid Nebraska until the championship match.

Texas will Ole Miss in the quarter finals. Sunday 6pm central on SEC network 

Ole Miss advanced by beating Missouri 3-2

Texas and Texas A&M both get some breaks as they will face the 14 and 15 seeds (ole miss and vandy) in the quarterfinals. 
 

Both teams should advance, pretty easily, and set up a rematch tomorrow.
