Let Arch be Arch

It took Mack Brown time to get the best out of Vince; it may be the same way with Arch.  As Sark said, Arch is less like Peyton or Eli and more like his grandfather.  Arch needs to run some and make off schedule plays.  He needs to show his emotions, the team feeds off it.  Arch’s issues arise when he tries to be robotic.  Let Arch be Arch.

I’ve been thinking a lot about early VY the last couple weeks. He was awful early on. Adjustments had to be made and it paid off…

People forget how bad Vince’s first season was.  Vince didn’t turn it around until his 4th and 17 play against Kansas midway through his redshirt sophomore season.

Arch played like he watched this commercial and understood the message and assignment. Don't show up for anyone but your team and you. Trust your work and I'll all come together, because no matter what Arch does, he plays quarterback at The University of Texas. Everything he does or doesn't do will be put under a microscope. Don't just have a seat on the hate train, drive that mfer and own the track. And when you do those same doubters will be clamoring for a piece of your success. Thats when Arch should look to the guys to his left and right and say WE did it!

I was at the game … it look like he was in the shotgun the whole time, no under center.   The story before the season was he was comfortable under center and it would help the run game and play action.   However yesterday, seeing the coverages instantly seems to have helped.

I’m not sure how accurate but good observation to consider.

Confidence is huge. In my opinion, the Moore catch of a not so great throw changed things yesterday.  Wingo has had several opportunities to make such a play but didn’t.  Last week, Sark made no effort to get his QB in a rhythm.  We didn’t have a gameplan beyond primarily working on our run game.  That’s fine but understand it for what it is.

Moore presents stability.  He presents confidence for his Qb. Be where you’re supposed to be, be there when you’re supposed to be there.  Make the easy catch.  Make a difficult catch.
