Don't they always pass the eye test? Has there been years where you've seen them in a similar setting and said "this is going to be a long year"??

For me, the eye test is coaching and players/talent 

Texas passed they coaching eye test for me with Miller. 

Talent ... he has enough to begin to show some of what we will see in the future as he builds his roster. I do believe Miller will have more complete/pro skilled talent in the future.

No, they did not pass the eye test as early as last year

Hopefully we finally get to see it but I'm not sure I've seen a consistent offensive system from Texas that didn't make me want to scratch my eyes out since Penders. Sure, there was a year or two here and there with Barnes ('03, '07, '08, '11) where it looked decent but largely through Barnes, Smart, Beard & Terry it has all been really bad compared to the rest of cbb.
