Franklin getting fired is good for Texas.  When a Blue Blood program fires a coach a pretty significant domino affect usually occurs (unless they hire internally from a true retirement scenario  such as Stoops to Lincoln Riley)

Whoever replaces Franklin will need to be replaced at his old school and that guy too will need to be replaced and so on and on.

That opens up so many doors for other programs on Penn State's blue blood level.  Granted, I'd rather it be a blue blood SEC coach as that would be more relevant but since Texas does recruit nationally, I'm getting a little excited here.
