Are you blaming them for not recruiting him or are you blaming them for not signing him? They recruited him. They couldn’t sign him. Those are two very different things. Looks like another 3* practice/scout recruit Edited 3 hours ago by Ronald Dato Quote
DanielOnorato Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The negativity by fans internally for a pre season #1 team who still has its destiny in front of it and has shown leaps and bounds of improvement while finally getting healthy is amazing. Sure there have been some disappointments but Texas is in the SEC playing with the big boys now. There's not a single team out there that hasn't had lapses except Ohio State and Texas was right there with them in their house and that Texas team didn't have an identity yet. Yes A and M and Indiana are undefeated but they have weaknesses as well. The Aggies have been brutal trying to stop the run. These final three games are crucial, pretty much what we always wanted them to be. Go out and win and you're in. This team can play with anybody. Quote

Does that role not need to be examined? Curious I think if that was an issue, it would affect the whole team, not one specific position. 1 Quote

Assuming Baker and Goosby are back, who are the backups? Chatman has been dinged and another T had a knee injury. Who’s the competition and backups? Can we bring in some guys with experience to compete? Is Brooks a tackle? Same for G. Who starts who competes? The need for Stroh to play is an indictment on the other players. I think you have to bring in guys, 2 is my over under. Robertson at center and Cruz backing him up I can buy. I think. Saturday looms large for how the room truly looks. I'm not sure Cruz is going to want to sit another year. But I could be wrong. Right now imo, if Goosby comes back your OL looks like this next year: LT - Goosby, LG - Brooks/Stroh, C - Robertson/Cruz, RG - Kibble/Stroh, RT - Baker If Goosby doesn't come back: LT - Brooks, LG Stroh/Kibble, C - Roberston/Cruz, Kibble/Stroh, RT - Baker Now to your point, what do Chatman and Cojoe do? Do the Coleman twins and Christian develop well for next year? Umeozulu is likely to transfer at this point. He only has one year left of eligibility anyway. You could potentially be looking at 2-3 OL transferring. Unless Cojoe can play G. But to your point, they definitely need some competition. Whether that's from transfers or the guys there already. Either way you have the potential to lose 3 starting OL from this years group. I'll be curious to see what Sark/Flood do in the off-season. Though to be fair, they would hopefully have a team of people looking around and seeing what is possibly out there. Quote

To your point A&M is weak at stopping the run, but we can't run the ball. Remember how bad Kentucky was at stopping the run? Wasn't Miss State bad at it, too? Just saying, just because a team has a weakness doesn't mean you can take advantage of it. This isn't negativity either, it's just criticism and opinions. That's what the forum is for or rather forums in general. Texas was right there with them in their house but anyone watching that game felt like we were never really in it. Plus they didn't have an identity either, first start for their QB, new RB's, etc. I do agree though, go out and win these next 3 games and you control your destiny. Lose one and you're likely out. We'll see how they do this week against Georgia. 1 Quote

For sure and I know this is a different season and styles make fights but not many teams could run on Oklahoma, Trey Wisner has been a Warrick running type warrior. Tre played well vs a and m last year and struggled vs Georgia. I believe in that dude and hope CJ Baxter is feeling fresh to come out and play some big time football. It's now or never, ladies and gentlemen. 1 Quote
