You will never see him score a touchdown. Camera goes elsewhere.

Well, just watch the redzone channel, they'll show it.

@Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton @CJ Vogel was there any truth to the AD being a pain in the ass stuff? Feel like we didn’t hear any of this during the season but could that be why he slid?

Not sure he slid, Buff. always was the team that wanted him.  The move by Buff to move down one spot to the 2nd round was a dick move IMO. Unless they talked with his agent and will still pay him 1st round money, just sucks on their part.

Agree 100%, You want your top pick in the draft to be pumped to be there, not feeling screwed.

Mitchell is going to be pissed when he gets picked in the second because Buffalo traded down... twice... Texas should have had 3 go in the first... but the best part of the first round was watching it with On Texas Footabll... it was way better that watching it with the GOAT... and abc... Ray was outstanding.... Bobby was fascinating... CJ was insightful when he chimed in... Coach always knows the history, Babers is a hoot and usually he's right and Gerrry was Gerry... I sometimes wonder if he talks in his sleep! Here a fact there a fact... that guy knows more info about these young players than AI. That said... I sure wish you guys were going to be on tonight... Again you're way better than then Espn on ABC ... or as I would say it Every Special Person, and Need, AND BLATANT CAPITALISM.....  It made for an interesting event... kids about to get rich.... while other people get 30 seconds of shade.

On Texas Football was real and fun and down to earth and it was all about sports!

    Hook Em!

Tweet from Ollie Connolly: Mitchell was the one evaluation that makes you want to throw your laptop in the sea. Just totally uninterested when not the primary target. Strolled through routes. Gave up on takeoff assignments. Just wrecked some of his teams concepts

    @Gerry Hamilton @Bobby Burton

    Is that last sentence true?

Well that ain't happening, salaries are slotted by draft pick per agreement with the NFLPA.  He'll take what's offered, knowing that if he outplays his contract (spot in the draft) he can make big $$ on the second contract in 3-4 years.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown from the 2021 draft is a good comparison, dropped to round 4, # 112, I think 17th WR picked (something like that).  Played well, just signed a second contract "worth more than $120 million in new money and contains $77 million in total guarantees"

Best advice to AD - don't feel sorry for yourself, just go out there and play your heart out and good things can come your way.

He passed on us and went with the first big time team that was on him before he blew up.

Wrong! Herman's Jay Valai never pulled the trigger.  He was a Texas lean as JQJ was recruiting him.

I never understood why Texas did not press at the time.  Piss poor evaluation.

I am a chiefs fan to my core and i fully understand how annoying it is to see taylor swift every other segment.

You must have her pinned up on your wall because she's not on TV that often. Just saying .....

Not gonna turn this into a pissing match, but Rakestraw was undervalued until the period after the early signing period and people really liked his senior tape. Texas offered after that and came after him hard. He took OVs here, Bama, Missouri. He ended up being one of the many DBs we whiffed on that cycle, losing guys like Ethan Pouncey, Josh Eaton, Kelee Ringo, etc. *shudders*

Jay Valai wasn't even hired by Texas until after Rakestraw signed with Missouri.

    Please, no more Herman talk.
